My Reflection
I thought this year was really fun! I really enjoyed Advanced Art because I was able to do the things I wanted to work on. I got to do a lot of pencil drawing which is one of my favorite things to do but I also got to expand my horizons on other things. These things being chalk pastels, water paint, ink drawings, etc. I learned to expand my horizons on other things in art, meaning there is more things to art then just painting or drawing. Art is a big spectrum of ideas. My favorite project was probably my magazine piece which took a lot of time but it was totally worth it. My worst project would probably have to be my last project. I feel like I didn't have enough time to do a big project so it didn't have a lot of detail to it which I didn't like. In my ink drawing I got to used many techniques with the pens from looking at value and texture. I don't think I will be doing any future plans after high school for art. I think these art classes will give me a hobby I can do on my free time. Art to me is just for fun and I would like to keep it that way. I think if I go to college for it I think my interest for it would run out.
Profile of an Artist
Anita Mihályi:
I thought this artist drawing were really awesome!! They are so realistic! She is very detailed in every drawing she does and that is something I would really like to get better at. She is very good at blending and the values of the piece. It is really cool to see what these artist can do and can be taken as role models.

Heart
This piece is a painting of a heart and the word LOVE spelled out within the heart! I thought this piece was really fun to make. It was cool using light colors and it was simple but came out pretty nice. I really enjoyed going back to paint because I hadn't done a painting piece in a long time.

Flowers in Bloom
This is a chalk pastels drawing of flowers. I really liked this project a lot and I thought it turned out really well. I really thought it was fun blending the colors together and finding color schemes that go together
Tyger Woods
This ink drawing is a drawing of Tyger Woods. I did this drawing because I wanted to make it for my brother and I thought it would be cool to use ink pen techniques to make it. I thought the outcome turned out really well and I thought it was really good :)

Music Albums
I made both these album pieces for a present for Zach. I didn't really think they would be good enough to put as a art project but when I got done I had taken alot of time into the pieces and I thought they looked pretty good. So I decided to make them my 3rd project of the 3rd quarter. Both of these Music albums are both Zach's favorite bands thats why I created it.

Connor Crest
I thought this piece that I made had a lot of meaning. This piece represents my family crest. This crest shows that I am Irish and it shows that I am proud of my heritage. I really like creating this piece because I learned alot about my past and other such things. It was a very different art subject I have done before but I thought it was still pretty cool and a different twist
Sun Set
I really liked doing this piece because I love using a variety of colors. I love seeing sunsets and I really like working on my skills on blending color so I thought sunsets would help that skill. I really loved doing the piece it was a lot of fun.

Passion within Art
I have many passions within Art. One of my passions within Art is that I love doing it. Art lets me express what I am feeling. Art shows emotion and caring in something you dream about. My passion in art when I was little was always drawing my family and naming the stick people my dad or my mom and so on. When I was little I told you what I loved right out but when I grew older, I found other things to show how I love something in more of advanced way. When I grew older I got more detailed in face features of people instead of stick people. An example of face features would be my Grease drawing I did last quarter. When I grew older I realized there is a wider variety of art then just drawing. I learned how to oil paint, water paint, oil pastels, charcoal pencils, scratch paper, etc. I learned that people can make a living out of art like Leonardo Da Vinci, Andy Warhol, Vincent Van Gogh, etc. I learned that their are different styles of drawing like scratch drawings or ink drawings. There are so many more arts and crafts that I have not been able to explore but I love that I get to do what I love during advanced art. I can't wait to learn no things and get better at art.

Reflection
This semester I have learned so much stuff that I can do in art! I have learned that art is a huge spectrum of ideas and I have only explored one tiny portion of it. I have learned how to blend pastels to make images look more 3D. I have learned to do better on the focus of backgrounds, foregrounds, and middle grounds. I have now noticed how much of the elements of art and art of designs that I use on a regular project. My best project so fair probably is my first one on the grid painting with squares. I really liked practicing my drawing of people on my Grease theme drawing but I would like to learn how to make the noses more realistic. I have loved this first semester of art and can't wait for next semester. :)
Artist Albert Hurter
Albert Hurter is one of my inspirational artist. Hurter has created many pieces of cartoons on disney animations. Some of his most famous pieces are found in Disney movies: Pinocchio, Fantasia, Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, etc. I think he was pretty cool because he is able to use his skills to make a cartoon come to life through Disney which is awesome. I would love to be able to have a cool job like that!

Grease Theme
I made this project because I love Grease! It is my all time favorite movie! So I thought I should make a project on it. I really want to get better at drawing people. That was another reason why I decided to do this project. I thought the project turned out a lot better than what I expected it to turn out to be but I really want to do better and work out drawing people. I used paper, pencil, internet for ideas, and color pencils.
Mountain Paradise (Magazine Pieces)
I made this piece by cutting up many pieces of different color magazine paper. I made the black mountains by cutting out a long black paper and shaping them as mountains. This piece took a lot of time and patience. I thought the out come was pretty good and i'm glad I did the piece.
